This file was created by me as part of my coordinated internship at Northern Virginia Community College. The purpose of this was to create a 3-dimensional feature depicting a proposed building on the campus of the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University to be displayed by visualization software as part of 3-dimensional images of the campus and the city created by ISPEU. In addition, the file allowed me to analyze the impact of the proposed structure’s shadow on nearby buildings at various times of day.

The screenshot at left depicts the proposed building, an existing building, and the shadows cast by both buildings as they would appear on April 20 at 3:33 P.M.

A drawing of the building’s footprint was provided by ISPEU and georeferenced by me; I then extruded the various faces and glued an image of the building’s exterior (also provided by ISPEU) onto them.
