The following file geodatabase was created by me in order to facilitate the mapping of certain irrigation and electrical features in Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in northern Virginia, operated by the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority. The feature class in question contains two types of irrigation features, control boxes and zone controls. The subtype field has two possible values, 1 (control box) and 2 (zone control). To allow for easier addition of new features in the future, 2 was chosen as the default subtype, since zone controls are much more common than control boxes. While the features’ actual locations cannot be disclosed on this site, a screenshot showing the database’s properties can be seen below:
